Account Executive

Focus Technology Solutions, an IT services provider located on the New Hampshire seacoast, is looking for an Account Executive.

Responsibilities

As an Account Executive, your responsibilities are as follows:

  • Actively identify and acquire new accounts through prospecting and networking.
  • Identify project-based and Managed IT services opportunities, drive these sales cycles and close business effectively.
  • Maintain relationships with existing accounts and strive to offer a wider breadth of service and products into these accounts.
  • Develop strategic relationships with Vendor partner & leverage these relationships to generate new business and acquire new accounts.
  • Delegate run-rate transactional business to your Account Manager in order to free your efforts for responsibilities listed above.

Expectations

Effective Communication

  • Be able to comfortably and confidently present the Focus overview to new prospects and existing clients.
  • Have the ability to provide the Focus “elevator pitch” easily.
  • Become competent with one of the Focus Technology Practices and acquire Sales Certification and build Vendor relationships to support this effort.

Business Acumen

  • Maintain an updated and realistic Sales Pipeline two quarters in advance.
  • Provide accurate monthly and interim GP/Revenue commits to management.
  • Execute and maintain assigned sales quotas and results
  • Thoroughly qualify each opportunity prior to forecasting – compelling business driver, decision makers, budget, timeframe, objections, competition...
  • Exhibit the ability to identify, run and CLOSE a complex Solution sales cycle using your own talents, vendor resources and company resources effectively.

Direct Capital has been working with Focus for over five years as trusted and dependable provider of IT consulting and solutions. During that time, Focus has consistently provided knowledgeable business and technical advice and has assisted us to upgrade our email system and to provide general support for our LAN and WAN infrastructure. Our most recent project addressed deploying a consolidated SAN infrastructure for our core applications and improving our backup and recovery of critical data. Focus engineers designed and deployed a solution which increased our data storage performance and reliability and significantly improved our backup infrastructure. The disk-based backup solution which we implemented has decreased our backup windows from 72 hours down to just over 12, and has dramatically improved our restore capability.
